Founder/Director Simon Veredon

Simon grew up in the theater during the 1970s modern dance movement in Germany. At 16 he started acting professionally in a small theater in Cologne while still pursuing music as a singer/writer in a popular local band. His entry into the 1993 Boston Playwright's Festival lauded his play 'Sarah' as “the birth of a new genre in theater”, which he also directed, incorporating original songs and hip hop danc elements by choreographer Hillel Meltzer.

Before starting a career as a television actor in one hour drama episodics in Germany he started directing and editing short films, which aired bi-weekly on Manhattan Cable in 1994. These music driven shorts featured songs of his New York trip hop/pop band 'Feedback'.

Simon went on to produce/direct several large performance/events in Berlin and Belgium, while still acting in German television. He also found time to co-write, direct and edit another 30 min. featurette in Belgium, write for the electronica/pop band 'Jamokee' in Berlin and edit for the German TV station 'Deutsche Welle' in Cologne.

In Los Angeles he has come in to his own, working on the development from storyboard reel to final edit and final composite on the full cgi featurette 'You Are Mine', with storyboards by Larry Scholl and Don Bluth (Fivel Goes West) and working full time as an HD online editor on 'The O.C.', 'Smallville', 'Rescue Me', 'Desperate Housewives' and 'Bones'. Time off has meant developing 'In A Different Key' with writer Thora Magnusson, from storyboards to co-writing the script and directing it.

During post production of 'In A Different Key' Simon founded InsideFilms, LLC. He wrote and visually developed 'Low Grounds', a fantasy/spiritual thriller set in an old grand theater, to be shot in Poland wih an American cast in the summer of 2007.

'In A Different Key' is slated to be entered in the festival circuit in 2007, with pre-production and casting already in full swing for part 1 of 'Low Grounds', which is conceived as a trilogy. InsideFilms has teamed up with Long Live Crime Records to supply this music driven feature with music from indie rock bands and an original score by Jazz of 'Killing Joke' and is developing the 'Low Grounds' graphic novel with LongTale, LLC.
